THE OVERVIEW
In this post, am I going to review The Bottleworks Hotel, a boutique hotel in Indianapolis. But first a little history. It is located in a building rich in history — Coca-Cola history, that is. The Coca-Cola Bottling Company lived here in the ‘20s until 1964 when the bottling company was purchased and moved. In 2016, the building was purchased by a developer who helped turn the area into the Bottleworks District. It is a hub for history, arts, and entertainment. The hotel has an art deco style, designed by Robush & Hunter in the 1920s. The new developers sought to restore and preserve as much of the original design as possible. It opened as a hotel in 2021. It was quick on my top 10 list of hotels.

WHAT STOOD OUT UPON MY ARRIVAL?
The design, the stunning art deco style of the lobby was breathtaking. It had carefully preserved details from the bold tiles on the walls to the terrazzo floors. Therefore, you can’t help but feel taken back in time.

HOW WAS THE ROOM?
The stroll to the room was an adventure in itself. Extra wide hallways with high-gloss Coca-Cola red doors! There were additioanly sitting areas like small lobby’s on the room floors. And the larger-than-life black-and-white portraits along the walls! I couldn’t help but take my time and absorb it all because it was so stunning.

The room’s windows were undoubtedly its standout feature. I LOVED them! Angled in a way that allowed me to see the massive sky while lying in bed. In other words, I laid in bed looking at the sky that evening AND the next morning. It was soothing. It was above all else, the unique standout experience for the hotel room. The windows were so impressive that it’s hard to imagine anyone wanting to block the view with electronic shades. Interested in booking a room with these windows? Make sure to request a Gilded King room as not all rooms have them. In my opinion, the windows make the hotel room an even better experience.
Additionally, the bed was cozy and comfortable. The room was a good size, with an added sitting section and lovely design details.

THE BATHROOM, WAS IT FABULOUS?
The bathroom was luxurious with marble floors, brass fixtures, and an enormous shower.

THE DETAILS: SHARE THE DETAILS
I loved that they had branded wine in the room. The steel beams from the original plant added a nice decor to the room with a a nod to the past, and the windows in the bedroom had electric blinds making it easy to close and open them. Oh, and I must add! I adored the presence of Johnny Depp in a photo on the wall in my room.
Furthermore, I did not have to move any furniture!! Or crawl around on the floor! Why? Basically because all of the outlets were conveniently located and easily accessible.

I am fascinated by the large black-and-white graphic panels along the hallways.

FOOD AND DRINK, WHAT IS AVAILABLE?
Lots. I began straightaway with a cocktail at Sundry & Vice and then afterwards moseyed over to Modita for dinner. The Garage Food Hall is across from the hotel, and The Fountain Room, a steakhouse, is on site. The Blue Collar Coffee Co. is open starting at 6 am for breakfast.
