Hilton Lake Las Vegas: Peace and Quiet with the best view in Las Vegas
1610 Lake Las Vegas Parkway, Henderson, NV 89011
In a city that never sleeps, I find serenity and the best view in Las Vegas.
During a recent business trip, I sought peace and calm. The Hilton Lake Las Vegas provided exactly that, and I enjoyed the best view in Las Vegas.

The Tale
The hotel didn’t thrill me, didn’t excite me. When I walked into the room, it had a modest, historical luxury feel, but it was not particularly unique. However, my room provided what I was looking for during my stay in Vegas: peace. As someone who loves Vegas and has visited regularly for over 20 years, gathering business ties and creating lasting friendships along the way, I appreciate the city for its crazy, spontaneous, raucous, and loud vibe. However, I’ve come to realize that a more convenient and peaceful experience is what I crave when in Vegas.
Vegas greets you with an overload of sensory stimulation from the moment you arrive. Visiting for a trade show, meeting, dinner, or networking event, when I return to my hotel after a long day, I want to escape the noise, be embraced by quiet, and easily find my room without having to navigate a ten-mile trek through a casino. When I wake up the next morning, the last thing I want to do is have breakfast with obnoxious thumping music rattling my brain! The Hilton Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa gave me precisely what I needed: peace and quiet, a serene escape.

The Hotel
Old-fashioned Mediterranean elegance, once a Ritz-Carlton, now a Hilton. She’s not perfect. She has a touch of wear, but not in a bad way, more like the way grandma’s house is. She wraps you up and makes you feel all cozy and safe. It’s familiar. Comfortable.
The Hilton Lake Las Vegas is a lakeside hotel situated in the community of Lake Las Vegas, part of Henderson, located 17 miles southeast of the Strip. My client once asked me, “Why are you staying way out there?! That is where we go to vacation!” My reply? Because it’s quiet! Plus, I drive further than that to the office every day!
The hotel has a beautiful Mediterranean ambiance and oozes charm. The property sits next to Lake Las Vegas (or on it, which may be more accurate!), offering lake views. Some rooms are situated on a bridge that spans the lake, like mine—see what I mean about being “on” the lake? I woke up each morning feeling as though I was hovering over the water. Yes, quite possibly the best view in Las Vegas.
The hotel has a bar, restaurant, and casino; however, what I love is that the hotel is at the forefront, not the casino. I didn’t see the casino once during any of my stays.

Parking is easy and free, and getting to my room was easy. I had to make about five turns in the hallways, but they were all in the guest area and not through the casino. It’s worth it because my room has a fantastic view over the lake—it’s like I’m floating above it!
The hotel is situated next to MonteLago Village, which offers a variety of shops, restaurants, bars, and condos. The area is easily walkable and has an Italian village aura. The hotel includes a central courtyard in the back, which is a lovely spot for enjoying morning coffee or relaxing with an evening cocktail around the fire.
The Room
The room wasn’t perfect; it showed very slight wear, but it was ideal for my stay. It was clean, beautifully old-fashioned, and comfortable, and the view was amazing—not like any other view I’ve found in a Las Vegas hotel.

The hotel made significant efforts to ensure accessible outlets by adding tabletop accessories, eliminating the need to search for them. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were excellent, and the bathroom was large. Plus, they had a coffee maker! This is a BIG Vegas win for me since it’s hard to find coffee makers in hotel rooms in Vegas.
It was a slight walk from the lobby to my room, but it was in guest room corridors with about five turns along the way. However, this was a lovely walk that led me to a room I loved. Hoovering over the lake on the bridge that spans the lake gives me what is the best view in Las Vegas.
What Else?
- MonteLago Village
- Firepit in the courtyard
- Surrounding area
Parking is convenient at the hotel. They offer valet service, but there is also a free self-parking garage located just a short walk from the hotel lobby.
Onsite, you will find a spa, an outdoor pool, a bar, a restaurant, and conference rooms. Additionally, there are many walkable options in the surrounding area, which has a charming village atmosphere.
Mornings can be quite peaceful in the courtyard, or you can enjoy a cocktail by the fire pit. Trails around the lake are available for those who want to take a leisurely walk.
Golfing is also an optiom, as some of my vendor colleagues had decided to do during their visit to Las Vegas.
Final Thought
If you’re searching for a peaceful hotel in Las Vegas, the Hilton Lake Las Vegas is one of my top choices. Of all my stays away from the Strip, this one is the quietest, most tranquil, and most beautiful.
