Are you looking for a great breakfast in Las Vegas? Discover Middle Child, a great breakfast and lunch spot located off the strip and popular among locals.
- Middle Child, a daytime restaurant
- Open concept with kitchen in view
- The bar at Middle Child
I’m heading to Vegas for a work trip. I chose an early flight, not the earliest, but early for me. I’ll be up at 4 am and at the airport by 6 am. I know I’ll be hungry when I arrive mid-morning, and since breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, I want to find a great breakfast in Las Vegas. Somewhere off the strip to grab a bite before heading to a conference. After a Google search, I found a new restaurant called Middle Child, a sister of Herbs & Rye and Cleaver. It’s conveniently located just down the street from the convention center!
Middle Child is a new restaurant that opened this year. It’s a bright and airy spot that serves breakfast, brunch, and lunch, and it is part of the Nectaly Mendoza family. If you’ve read my other articles about his restaurants, you’ll know he’s known for his cocktail-focused menus. This new daytime restaurant lives up to that reputation. It’s late morning, so I’ll have that espresso martini, please.
- Espresso Martini’s
- Brioche French Toast with berry compote
- Eggs benedict with home made chips
The space is very open, light, and refreshing. You can see the kitchen when you walk in. I love the aqua colors. After ordering my martini, I opted for the eggs benedict, while my colleague went straight for the French toast. I can’t speak for the French toast; although it looked beautiful, I am sure it was delicious. My eggs were fantastic. It all hit the spot perfectly and gave me that much-needed boost to get through the rest of my day.
If you want to explore beyond the main tourist area and enjoy a local favorite, consider visiting Middle Child. It’s conveniently located near the convention center, with easy parking, and offers outstanding food. Plus, the cocktails are amazing!
