LMNT – for hydration

LMNT a powder electrolyte, I always travel with it for hydration. It's travel must have for eloctrolytes.

I am so thankful that I found this! If you’re like me, you tend to drink less water when you travel and may end up drinking more cocktails. Or maybe you’ve walked 10 miles on the Boston Freedom Trail and exerted more effort than you anticipated. LMNT helps me stay hydrated. Usually, at bedtime, I realize, “Oh no! I didn’t drink enough water,” or I notice I’m really dehydrated in the morning. Additionally, when I’m in the mountains at over 9,000 feet above sea level, it’s even easier to become dehydrated. I carry these convenient packets with me everywhere I go, even in my purse daily, just in case. I don’t always drink them, but when I need that extra hydration, I have them easily accessible. This is a top item in my list of gifts for the traveler. Purchase them here.

Great Lakes Collagen – for protein and joint health

Great Lakes Collagen, for joint health and protein, is travel must-have for protein.

I’m all about this Collagen protein! It’s great for my joints, nails, and hair, plus it fits right into my macros counting. What I do is measure out what I need for my coffee each morning, scoop it into a baggie, and throw in some cinnamon, cloves, turmeric, ginger, and nutmeg. I make enough baggies for each day that I am gone. That way, I can mix it all into my coffee on the go. They have travel versions, but I like customizing by adding my own spice blends for something a little extra. Purchase here.

Designs for Health PurePaleo Bone Broth Protein Powder – for added protein

PurePaleo Bone Broth Protein powder, a great gift for the traveler.

I really love this protein powder. As someone who monitors my macro intake, especially protein and fat, I appreciate any help I can get with my protein goals. When I stay at an Airbnb, I like to make protein shakes with it. If I’m traveling in hotels, I add the vanilla flavor to my morning oatmeal. Occasionally, when I’m in a pinch, I even mix it into an extra cup of coffee. Purchase it here.

Viori Shampoo and Conditioner Bars

This item stays in my suitcase, and I don’t take it out. Why? Because sometimes hotels or Airbnbs don’t provide shampoo or conditioner, or their products may not be the best. I can’t tell you how many times the Viori conditioner bar has saved my hair while traveling! This is a top item on my list of travel must haves! Purchase yours here!

Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo in travel size is the best dry shampoo. Just spray it at the roots, brush it through, and voilà; your hair feels brand new. It’s super easy for busy travelers. Purchase here.

Olaplex No. 9 Nourishing Hair Serum

Olaplex No. 9 Hair Serum, for soft smooth hair.

Olaplex No. 9 Nourishing Hair Serum is perfect for keeping your hair soft and manageable, especially for women who are traveling. As someone with long hair, I rely on this serum to prevent dryness and frizz (or those occasional wind blown tangled messes I sometimes get on those rooftop bars.) I usually transfer a small amount into a compact sample container that fits perfectly in my TSA-approved baggie. Purchase here.

Sea-Band Anti-Nausea Acupressure Wristband for Motion Sickness

As someone who sometimes deals with vertigo and seasickness, I never head out without these wristbands. They really help, even if it’s mostly for peace of mind. They work by putting pressure on a spot on your wrist that’s known for easing nausea. When I took a boat ride in Italy last year, I wore them along with some other remedies, and it worked like a charm—I didn’t feel nauseous at all! You can purchase them here.

Tripped Compression Packing Cubes

Tripped Compression Packing Cubes, three of them, different sizes, sitting on a bed. A travel must have.

I’m not usually someone who uses packing cubes for all of my packing needs, but I do find them useful for certain purposes. I like to use them for personal items and dirty clothes. Occasionally, I use packing cubes for everything when I want to compress my items and save space, which they are great for! I recommend checking them out. I utilize all the different sizes at various times, depending on the situation. Purchase them here.

Scarves

I love my scarves and always wear one around my neck while carrying another in my bag. They are fantastic for doubling as a blanket or shawl, especially on cold airplanes. Often, I pull out the extra scarf and wrap it around myself because I tend to get chilly on flights. These scarves are also excellent for cold weather, and they are not bulky; in fact, they feel quite luxurious. This is a top item of travel must haves. Purchase here.

ESR Magnetic Phone Ring Holder

For those of you who have iPhones, this little gadget has been indispensable for me. It allows me to watch downloads on my phone while on a plane, prop it up for taking photos, or hang it from a TV for picture-taking. This gadget is perfect for watching videos and taking selfies. Additionally, it comes in handy for holding the phone out for those classic selfies when needed. This is a top item on my list of travel must haves. You can purchase yours here.

Benro Mini Travel Tripod

This tripod fits easily in my purse or suitcase and can be extended to a taller height if needed, or it can sit nicely on a table. Moleskine Classic 18 month Weekly Planner Soft Cover and Moleskine Classic Notebook Softcover

I love the weekly calendars from Moleskine. I get one every year, and it goes everywhere with me. The calendar is nicely divided by week, with one side for weekdays and another side for notes. I also adore the tiny pocket notebook; it accompanies me wherever I go. Whenever I need to take a note, I have it handy. With both the calendar and notebook, I can quickly reference my notes whenever needed. The soft covers feel great and are less bulky in my purse, plus they just make me feel good. Purchase the weekly planner here and the classic notebook here.

Travel Laundry Detergent Sheets

During my 10-day trip to Europe, I faced a little laundry dilemma. While I did use the hotel’s laundry services once when I had the time, there was another occasion when I didn’t have the opportunity. I had stashed some detergent sheets in a baggie in my suitcase, which turned out to be a lifesaver. I needed a last-minute solution for washing my bras, so I used the detergent sheets to wash them in the sink and hung them up to dry. Fortunately, by the next day, they were as good as new! Purchase yours here.

Travelpro Crew Classic Lightweight Softside Expandable Carry on Luggage, 8 Wheel Spinner Suitcase

TravelPro Suitcase in blue, travel must have

Travelpro luggage is my absolute favorite type of suitcase. So far, I own two of them out of about ten total suitcases I’ve collected. These are definitely my favorites. You can feel the difference in several ways, but my top two reasons are the smooth rolling wheels and the handle, which slides up and down effortlessly without wobbling. The luggage is also very sturdy. I didn’t realize how bad my luggage was until I purchased these. They are a top item on my travel must haves! They make travel so much easier. Purchase the underseat bag here and the classic carry-on here.

Apple Air Tags, 4-pack with the Air Tag Key Rings

I picked up four of these tracking devices—two for my bags and two for my son’s bags when we travel together. I also purchased some key rings to hold them because they’re easier to attach to my bag. Since I rarely check my suitcase when flying, it’s super cool to watch it get loaded onto the plane in real-time when I do need to check it. Plus, the notifications let me know when my bag is out of range. I even use them for my purse and laptop bag while I’m in town. They’re really helpful, not just for traveling! I have a previous version of this wireless charger, and I absolutely love it! It has saved my phone from dying countless times.
